Sometimes a short break to enjoy your life again is all that is needed to ease the situation, especially if you looking after a loved one with a complex or long term condition, such as dementia, Parkinson’s, Stroke rehabilitation, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease or those in palliative care at home.If you need a break or have other commitments, and the person you care for usually has to go into residential care, we can offer several alternatives.Care Needs offers a range of services which allows the ‘cared for’ to stay at home and continue to receive care, whilst the carer is absent. For example we can :•Provide 24 hour care, including sleeping or waking night cover if necessary.•Put together a package of care consisting of regular visits and phone check calls that ensure your loved one is never left unsupported longer than the time agreed with you. examples below:oExample 1 - We will ring the person you care for twice a day at agreed times to make sure they are OK or to remind them to take medication, etc.oExample 2 - We will provide example 1plus one daily pop in check visit within a two hour agreed time slot.oExample 2 - We will provide two daily pop in checks within two hour agreed time slots to check everything is OK or to remind them to take medication, etc.•If your loved one already has a care package in place we can provide additional visits or phone check calls that will offer reassurance to you and your loved one that we are there by your side.•Provide an emergency response service to deal with any contingencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week.•Take on the role of named person for an emergency alarm response service.•Provide domestic support including cleaning, shopping, laundry•Community Support including Accompanied Trips and Visits, Shopping, Companionship and Befriending, Pet Care.•Transport and Escorts for Appointments
Telecare Emergency Alarms
If the person you care for has a telecare emergency alarm response service and you are the named emergency contact, Care Needs can take over that role while you have a break. We can also offer a key holding service as part of the arrangement.Rest assured that Care Needs would respond to any emergency call out, 24 hours a day seven days a week. Call outs would be charged at £15.50 per visit for the first 30 minutes and £15.50 per hour or part thereof for any additional time.Together we can develop a tailor made care package to meet your exact requirements, just give us a call or email us for a no obligation chat.
