Care Needs recently donated seven leftover Christmas hampers to the Chelwood Food Bank Plus in Stockport. This local charity helps look after families, young people and older people who are in need of assistance by providing them with food and other essential items.

Director of Care Needs, Lucy Frisby, said: “Chelwood Food Bank is a charity that makes a difference to so many lives. People from our local community are referred to the organisation by agencies such as the CAB, Stockport Homes, MIND, and Social Services, enabling them to support as many individuals as possible. We are pleased that Care Needs has been able to support the Chelwood Foodbank with a donation and support their hard work. We are so passionate about supporting our local community and we hope that we can continue to support them throughout 2022.”

Chelwood Foodbank Plus is more than just a foodbank – it also provides users with essential items such as kitchen equipment, bedding and other household items.

The organisation relies solely on donations given by local people and businesses to help those who need them most. If you would like to find out more about Chelwood Foodbank Plus, or make your own donation, you can do so here.
